Editor’s note: This announcement was provided by the Pelham Union Free School District. The Pelham Examiner publishes announcements in the form received as a service to the community.

Dear Pelham Community:

The Board of Education is seeking interested volunteers to fill vacancies on several committees for the 2024-25 school year.

Seats for community members exist on the Advocacy and Community Engagement, Audit/Finance*, School Culture & Belonging, Personal Growth & Achievement (Curriculum), Facilities & Sustainable Learning Environments, Safety and Wellness committees. Please note that some of these committees have been renamed to align with the goals of the District’s new Strategic Plan.

Please read more about each committee here.

Volunteering to serve on Pelham Public Schools committees is a great way to become involved with the school community and participate in the important work that will take place in our District this year.

If you are interested in serving, please complete this Google Form by Sunday, September 29, 2024.

We welcome volunteers who have previously served on a committee as well as new committee volunteers. You must submit a new application for this school year even if you have previously served on a committee.

The Board will review all applications and select candidates to fill the open vacancies. Professional expertise related to the work of each committee, rationale for applying and prior volunteer work will be taken into account when evaluating applications.

Sincerely,

The Pelham Board of Education

* Please note – Community members are invited to apply for seats on the Audit portion of this Committee only.
