Pelham Manor, NY – A beloved community tradition will continue this year thanks to the dedication of local Pelham Manor businesses. The fifth annual Random Acts of Kindness Day will take place on Sunday, February 23rd, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Flour Power Bakery, 4668 Boston Post Road, Pelham, NY 10803.
Four years ago, as Pelham faced the challenges of COVID-19, the Pelham Chamber of Commerce introduced this event to bring hope, connection, and kindness to the community. The event quickly became a cherished tradition, offering residents something positive to look forward to each winter. However, with the Chamber in a leadership transition this year, plans for the event were put on hold.
When Satpal Singh, owner of R&D Liquors and Wine, heard the event might not happen, he took action.
“We have had the opportunity to sponsor this event for the last two years, and it’s near to my heart,” said Singh. “We love being a business in Pelham Manor, offering high-quality wines and liquors, but we also recognize our responsibility to promote safe and responsible enjoyment. This event allows us to connect with the community in a deeper way while supporting our fellow Pelham businesses.”
Determined to keep the tradition alive, Singh reached out to Miranda Bucciero, owner of Flour Power Bakery, and together, they organized a day full of fun, kindness, and community spirit. Thanks to the efforts of the Pelham Manor Business Collective, a group of local businesses dedicated to uniting and uplifting the community, this year’s Random Acts of Kindness Day will bring neighbors together once again.

“When I heard this event wasn’t going to happen, I knew we had to step in,” Singh added. “Miranda and I said, ‘Let’s make this happen!’ We are excited to welcome everyone back at the end of school break and celebrate kindness together.”
The Pelham Manor Business Collective invites all Pelham residents to join in for a heartwarming day of kindness, connection, and celebration.
