Thank you to everyone who has shown such incredible support for Proposition 3, giving us the opportunity to vote to move our Pelham Manor village election to November. Your texts, messages, volunteer efforts, contributions, and the kind notes left at our doors have been so appreciated. A special thank you to those spreading the word, writing letters, displaying Vote Yes signs, and painting rocks—your efforts have truly energized this campaign!
Your vote can make a real difference in shaping the future of our community. Voting Yes on Prop 3 ensures that everyone in our community, from long-time residents to newer neighbors, has a better opportunity to participate in the democratic process. Voting Yes on Prop 3 brings several important benefits to Pelham Manor, including:
-
Increased voter participation and convenience—We’ll see higher voter turnout, and greater representation. With early voting on village elections and one consolidated election day, voters will have greater flexibility.
-
More secure, efficient elections—Westchester County will oversee November elections, ensuring professional management by election officials, and voting will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) for greater privacy.
-
A more positive, streamlined process—Fewer elections will reduce constant political campaigning, fostering unity, and allowing our community to focus on what matters most.
-
A stronger focus on local issues—Eliminating the separate March election saves costs and frees up staff time and energy, letting us concentrate on critical projects like flood mitigation and other community needs.
In addition to Proposition 3, don’t forget to vote Yes on NYS Prop 1 (the Equal Rights Amendment) and Westchester County Prop 2 (extending term limits to four years, capped at 12). Let’s vote Yes on all three!
Thanks to your continued enthusiasm and support, we are so close to making this positive change for Pelham Manor. Let’s get out and vote to ensure our community is heard!
With gratitude,
Erica Winter
