Basilico Restaurant, which features seafood, lamb shank, pasta and more, has replaced Macelleria Steak House at 140 Fifth Avenue.
Nick Demaliaj and Jetmir Arifaj, the restaurant’s owners and creators, have worked together in the restaurant industry for the past 17 years.
“Around January of this year, an idea came to me one day, and I called my friend Nick,” said Arifaj. “We decided to create our very own restaurant. We wanted to make this idea happen, so we immediately started thinking of how to do it.”
“So far, the restaurant has had a good number of people coming in, and we just want to make everyone happy,” said Demaliaj.
