The Siwanoy Dads Club had their annual year end barbecue at Shore Park on Thursday June 20th. Siwanoy families were treated to hamburgers and waters, which were graciously donated by Rockwell’s, hot dogs, chips, lemonade, cookies and watermelon. Use of grills were donated by Bill Taubner with Ball Chain Manufacturing. Over 150 people enjoyed the cool water breezes while celebrating our community and the end of another amazing school year.
The Siwanoy Dads Club was founded in 2010 by former Siwanoy Dads, Lawrence Baxter and Jason Jeffries as a way to make meaningful connections with their children and build community. Throughout the past decade plus, events have included: Ice Hutch skating, NYCFC games, Mets games, Thunder Ridge Skiing, Orchard Beach scavenger hunts, bowling, Dave and Buster’s, Dank-a-Dad at Spring Fling Carnival, and Half Day Movie Day at the Pelham Picture House.
The Dads Club thanks all the parent and business who have donated their time and money to make so many memories for the children of Siwanoy. Monthly meetings are the first Monday of every month during the school year at 8pm at Rockwells. All Siwanoy Dads are welcome to join!
